Maria is an aspiring leader with 15 years in public service with experience in governance and advisory support at both at an Executive and Board level. Maria advocates strongly for creating better outcomes for Pacific and this is supported by other governance roles she holds in the Pacific community. 

Why I Volunteer

Service to others is intrinsically weaved into the way I live my life and being a part of the journey of Te Whare Nukunoa is a blessing as it allows me to serve wahine in Te Whanganui-a-Tara who need our help and support. Collectively we all have the ability to serve those in most need in our communities.  My hope is that what I do now will create better outcomes and opportunities for our future generation of wahine.
